I am a clinical academic at the University of Sydney and ICM specialist at Nepean Hospital, Sydney, Australia. My clinical and academic interests include respiratory physiology, acute respiratory failure, mechanical ventilation and trial methodology. My clinical and academic training took place across the UK, Australia and Canada, with fellowships in ECMO and ECMO retrieval; and respiratory failure research. I am completing my PhD through the University of Toronto under the supervision of Ewan Goligher and Niall Ferguson, which focuses on diaphragm neurostimulation to prevent diaphragm inactivity during early mechanical ventilation for acute respiratory failure.
