Ingrid Espinoza Grandon

Ingrid Espinoza Grandon, Ph.D., is a Program Officer in the Division of Lung Diseases (DLD) at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), NIH. She manages a research portfolio in acute lung injury and critical care, including acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), pneumonia, and sepsis. Her portfolio supports studies on biomarkers, patient phenotyping, and multicenter clinical studies and trials. Dr. Espinoza Grandon brings over 20 years of experience in biomedical sciences, translational, and clinical research, with experience in biomarkers, precision medicine and cancer biology. Before joining NIH, she was Associate Professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where she led biomarker-driven translational studies in cancer and helped develop and expand clinical research programs. She earned her Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Chile.
