Dr. Pablo Sanchez is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at UCSF, and intensivist cardiac and cardiothoracic intensive care units at UCSF. He earned his medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School, serving as chief resident. He also completed a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine, serving as chief fellow, and a fellowship in critical care medicine at Stanford University. His research interests center on evaluating the differential effect of cardiac injury and dysfunction on clinical outcomes of molecular subphenotypes of the acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), sepsis and septic shock, to refine risk stratification, monitoring and management strategies.
